I have always thought that art should be a discourse not solely esthetic but a means of conceptual diffusion. I have believed, that many times the message turns out to be the essence of the work, including, far above all technique. And without ever undervaluing the technique, nor trying to implement an "art without technique", I believe firmly that for the artist to assume a role, not only purposefully, but also of direction, he must argue his work through his own discourse. Because an artist without discourse, is not less an artist but it affects the definition of his own destiny and therefore: his symbols which, at the end of the day, are the only legacy that persists throughout history.
